Bit of a sad one this evening.

Anything in season is fair game on this permission, except the white fallow .

This poor chap was obviously an allowable exception.

That's one of Andy Kellys nets, if you look closely you can see his binoculars tangled up in there

Well it was mostly electric fence tape but also a bit of straining wire and sticks. He could  of gone through a horse paddock or jumped a fence and ended up in a tangle.   

I know red stags deliberately gather debris and  branches on their antlers during the rut but have no idea if fallow bucks do the same.

It's  a good job it didn't  get into a sparring match with another buck. 

It would've  been like a scene from the Defiant Ones.
