Guest Ditch_Shitter
I'd vote for Jack Hargreaves too, and not just because he died on my 25th birthday. He was born on mine!
dytkos 17,952
I'd vote for Jack Hargreaves too, and not just because he died on my 25th birthday. He was born on mine! I Loved JH also, despite the reasons, I thought that Drabble was more "mainstream" and brought the countryside to the masses most despite any background issues. FJager 0
Vinnie Jones?......maybe not eh? SP its Sunday afternoon, I spent the morning killing some sheep and hanging them in the coldroom and am now 3/4 full of beer but I agree with you here, we get some of the Vinnie Jones stuff over here on pay TV and being a main stream actor I think his stuff gets through, in this country anyway, seen one where he was fishing in Mongolia, absolutely brilliant. The Sporting Agent 0
[quote name=? Vinnie Jones does a lot tp publicise and show his love of the countryside; but then he goes and asaults stweards opn a plain flight and gets himself plastered allover the tabloids for doing so; you can imagine the headlines?? Every Editor making hay about him owning guns and getting hif licenses revoked!! His passion his unquestionable, and he talks about it openly which many "celebraties" who enjoy field sports do not; but then he does something stupid like that which brings us all down with a bump and tars us with that brush that the Antis are so fond of using..... Looks like Jack Hargreves is getting the most votes......
Deker 3,491
I was going to say Jack H right up front but thought very few of the yougsters would have heard of him. A master of communication in all things country with no political agenda. A tribute to him that so many still remember. He must be the man!

Rolfe 2
Jack's Series "Out of Town" was and still is the best portrayal of the countryside ever in my opinion. Rolfe.
