Kid bought a crossbow

Decided to bring my brother along with me while I ran errands. Well we stop at our favorite place to go and browse and well... This kid decided he wants to do his first weapon purchase and him being the walking meme his is what's he buy ? A dang Crossbow not a rifle , or a airgun or a shotgun. No a used crossbow  why ? Well in his words " because it's the silly thing to do and I'm a goofy goober with money"  well after ok'ing it with dad ( who was laughing hysterically over the phone) we go to the bank and get his money out his account and we go back and pay for it as we walk out what does he see ? A bongo drum Proceeds to pick it up turn around and buy it too , had the whole shop cracking up talking out how he was gonna be sitting in the stand playing smooth jazz waiting for hogs to come in also yes we where making extremely..."spicy" jokes about drums and hunting ... Some of y'all should be able to get a laugh out of that yes we're horrible people but it's funny so who cares

Also managed to get a free cocker and extra bolts off of a broken one they had for free. One of the senior people said " hell just give it to him for free ! He's in here about every three days least we can do " which was nice if them because the the stuff they threw in was gonna be an extra $70-$100 if we had to buy it all brand new. 

So went to Walmart got him a target and some field points to practice and zero this thing with

So after 10 minutes of trying to cock the thing we realized we had no clue what we where doing so 2min worth of YouTube later figured out and got to shooting it

Had my shooting tripod in the car so that made zeroing a bit easier . Stared out at 15yd just to make sure we where on target and even bullied dad into shooting it tried to act so uninterested but we kept here him say how he might need to get one under us breath

Anyhow jackass here decided 15yd was much fun so if course we did the logical thing and put it out as far as we could just to see end up at 45yd

Cool thing is some of the bolts we got thrown in for free that Lumknocks installed. Basically they light up when their stuck by the string ( just a bright ass lil battery power light in a sliding deal. String hits it gets pushed forward completes the circuit and you have basically a tracer) and their pretty dang cool to watch arch into a target at distance

But yeah about two hours later we got it set up pretty decent dead on at 25yd and second aiming bar for 45. Kid wont shut up about how " that's the best waste for $150 ever !"

He's already researching proper shit place on hogs ,best broadheads , fixed vs mechanical, making custom bolts ect said his next purchase is probably gonna be with a compound bow or a muzzleloader ugh I just keep on creating monsters. My GF is probably gonna want a pink on now to match her gun anyhow figured someone might get a laugh out of our most recent retarded purchase I'll be sure to post some pics with he either injures himself with it or kills something , or knowing him turns it into come kinda instrument

Yep , PSE Fang dont know if he's gonna gor fixed or mechanical yet though
