deben locator

hi there has anyone really tried n tested the deben 40 ft long ranger terrier finder and if so what do u think of them

Been using mine for a little over a year now and quite happy with it. Only had to use the locate setting once when the dog pushed into a thick woods at the end a field and went to ground before I could push through to follow. Even that setting worked well enough. I hope to Gawd I never have to use the 40 ft setting for a dig!

Suppose their will be a few different opinions on this i find it to be a decent locater and fairly accurate but seeing my mates with the B&F i wished i had saved for a couple more weeks and got one of those but thats just my view.

My mate's got the Mk3 and it's so complicated to use that I prefer the old grey Mk1 box (was there a Mk2?) . I have just taken hold of my first B&F and it's the bollywollox, well made and simple to use.

 

I'm glad to see Deben knocked off their high-horse ; their customer relations/aftersales stinks.

i bot one few weeks ago dug with it twice it done the job but mine dosn search the full 40 foot as its meant to do i think a B.F for me soon . an cant stick the mad noise it makes ha

there was a mk2 mate i was stupid enough to buy one,used it once and bought a b&f instead wouldn't go back to deben on principle. if b&f hadn't brought theirs out deben would still be making the mk1

their shite and they dont reach 40 feet about 10 feet we lost 2 good bitches yesterday ran to ground with my mates deben very deep earth if my bf had been on we could have got them we tried later with but earth had collapsed
