Had ye going :D

The cockerals.

These boys sis found as tiny chick loose in the woods, a few months ago. They have all turned out to be cocks....hence the reason they were chucked out probably. Their loss though :good: we will have 2 each in our freezers by the end of next week. They are good looking lads though, anyone any idea what they are?

I may be wrong but they look like the male version of a brown laying hen used in egg farms. I think when they are producing hens for the egg factory system they sex them, Hens live males die. But those males seem to have made an escape. I may be wrong but I think those type of fowl are sterile so as not to get any blood in the eggs. If this is not correct I very sorry.

They are not Rhode Island Reds which some people would claim to be (not red enough).

Your silky looks like a cross of a Black Silky and a Wyondotte.

Kind Regards

Just found out the cockerals we found...

Hi darlin the top boys are all buff plymouth rocks 100% I know as I used to breed them,if Anne keeps one to cross into her layers they make good birds. The cock she has remaining is a silkie cross with something else could be anything really but a nice looking chap all the same

Moll.

Just the little brown duck now.
