3D Printer People?

Recommended Posts

I want five or six of these camera mounts done:

I know a guy with access to one of these 3D machines. I know absolutely nothing about them. But, I've been offered the plans for these mounts.

My question is; How much of a liberty might it be, asking the guy if he can do them for me? I've no idea what the plastic costs. Ball park; What would You want, to make them?

Thanks.

I'm paying £160 per part for some large pieces for proto type machines... we can't produce in house.

Its done on weight, I'd guess you'd be looking at £50 a pop for those mate..

:icon_eek: :icon_eek: :icon_eek: Fukk Me!!! I won't even embarrass my mate or myself by asking then! I'll just buy them, from US, at $18.00 a piece!

Cheers for that!

Thats why you don't mass produce with a 3d printer mate, great for prototypes or one off type things, but if you can buy off the shelf equivalent will always be cheaper

Know nowt about 3D printing. Would that include laser scanning or similar to create a ‘file’ to print?
