It was @Chris Jones that long, long ago mentioned something about a top cop, who was investigating that, ended up fukking off to Canada, seemingly for his own well being. Directly, or otherwise, what Chris was saying also led me to a mind bending article about 'That Boat '. One, as I remember, owned by some top level minister. Kept on a loch in Scotland. Here's a bit of useless information; I once met a very much older chap (I was about twenty. He was about seventy, I'd guess) Guy was gay. And, his boyfriend had actually Lived With Crowley!!! What I wouldn't have given, to have met That guy and got a few anecdotes from him! Read a book, once. Macgreggar Mathers? Think it was. Anyway; It offered a first hand account of when " The Golden Dawn " had a bit of a tizzy fit amongst themselves. We tend to think of Crowley, Mathers, TGD, shit like that as Towering! Nearer the truth was it was a load of silly blokes having a right slagging match on the top floor of some dusty, half derelict old tenement in London.
