Our two fishing tackle shops in Rotherham back in the 70s sold rabbit snares and purse net's sadly these shops are no more.

Same here the fishing tackle shop in Rotherham had glass cases of stuffed fish i still remember from over 50 years also we had a jeffersons camera shop in town that had a  selection of air guns in the window also they sold slides with various insect parts to look at under a microscope all had an impression on a young mind lol . Not forgetting Clifton park museum that i lived near growing up that had a large British bird egg collection on display that was probably responsible for a lot of young lads getting into egg collecting at the time.lol

That's the biggest regret I have was swapping my egg collection for a folding 12 bore, fcukin stupidity lol

Everything was swapped and bartered, I remember swapping a pair of oxblood doc Martin boots for an nsu quickly moped as a lad, my mum went mental but what fun we had on it
