If he came after you, it was like being hunted down by some god awful mixture of a pit bull, ferret and honey badger, with rabies and aids. He Would get you and fukk you up! No hiding place. No loop hole. No weasel words. Trey Gowdy would always be three steps ahead and he'd calmly, methodically and totally legally Fukk You Up! Man was a terrifying force of nature. I used to watch him, dry mouthed, as he'd calmly sit there and dispassionately repeat, again and again, to some high ranking arse wipe; " No, sir. I Asked You ..... Will you please address my question? " No avoiding that guy. Fukk me, he made Andrew Marr look like a two year old! He'd have verbally water boarded the Abbopotamus in a heart beat! Fukk her and her " I have nothing further to add on that subject. " He'd be like, " Then, I'm afraid you're legally required, under this, that, sub section That, according to the Law of the other, to Drown then, Ma'm. " Then Pooff!!! No more! Forgive me, I know about as much about cricket as I do neurosurgery! But, yeah; Those guys are older now. The physical bodies of sportsmen pass their peak. And that's fine. But, a Mind like Gowdy's? Why the hell isn't he a Supreme Court Judge or something? (Any Americans care to comment?) It's just one of those things that can pop into a head. A 'What ever became of ..?' moment.
