Just thought I’d give a little review of this German made hunting jacket for those who appreciate something different & of high quality. It may appeal more to shooting guys, but I think it’s of use to anyone in the field. 

This small German company specialise in lambs wool kit. I’m pretty sure I was told directly by those involved it’s lambs wool dipped in silicone  which makes it shower proof, though I’ve stayed dry in some heavy downpours!

The bit of kit I’ve got, the lodenpullover has been in regular use  for over 3 years & is yet to show any signs of wear. The antler buttons that are are stitched on are yet to show any signs of coming off. I’ve used for it for everything from everyday casual wear, outside chores, mountain hiking, obviously in the field & now hawking. I leave the hawking bag at home now & just utilise the large front pouch on the jacket that has an inner separate pouch split into compartments that can be worn outside of the jacket for easier access. This jacket is the bollocks & I can see it lasting for years as yet & the only reason I actually bought it was my Mrs was a bit cold at the time & insisted I buy it so she could wear it there & then

In cold weather this & a Swazi micro flease will suffice. Also the hood, which incidentally makes you look like a monk , is removable.
