Fox killed my hob

Recommended Posts

I dropped my hob into one of my best rabbit setts only for him to lie up.  Dropped a jill in lower holes, rabbit flew out with half his head removed then the jill for the first time in her life walked out and wouldn't go back in, never seen that kind of damage before on a rabbit in such a short space of time.  Still no sign of the hob and waited for another hour as it was a huge warren, big fox bolted throwing a net.  Dug down to the hob and there he was dead.

I know where his den is so his cards are marked.

Raging as this was a great hob who always pulled rabbits out of a dead end rather than lie up.  I caught a fox that bolted on me last year but its now getting ridiculous the amount of foxes I'm finding in holes.  Checked another great warren near me only for it to be covered in brock latrines and claw marks in the sand.  Its only a matter of time before my ferrets meet one of their bigger cousins!
