A walk around the sheep

Come for a wander around the sheep farm, been here about 40 mins and this young vixen came from around the back of the lambing sheds, I must of walked past it on my way passed the sheds, it was only when I was half way down the field and ran the lamp back up towards the farm that I seen it, only about 70 yards and was making its way slowly towards the hedge back, it didn’t stop to the caller and I didn’t want to shout in case it bolted, so took the shot as it got about 10 yards from the hedge back, a little bit further back than I would of liked, but it dropped on the spot, going to head over to the other side of the farm now, give it an hour or so and see what happens

Yeah, a second one with the new .243

after walk around the far side of the farm and spotting another but not been able to take the shot due to bloody horses I’ve called it a night and will be back for that one another night

Iv had that happen to me more than once , I'm sure that some time they stay in the hedge bottom. Till you've gone past ( sneaky sods)

I’m sure they know when I’ve got the rifle, if I’m out without it they walk past me and give me a wink
