Ants

Got a look problem with ants in ferret court, I have gutted the court twice this week to try get rid of them but there back, got a Jill with kits and it doesn't matter were i put nest boxes ants get in. Anyone got any ideas how to get rid of them. Also got few kits "free" to good working homes. Pm if interested. Atb.

Be good to put the jill and kits in a hutch on legs and treat the legs with insect killer to stop them climbing while you treat the court.We lost a newborn chihuahua pup to ants,went into its mouth and airway.

Think I'll put her in a hutch and try what you suggested and strip the court down atb

Try using petroleum jelly around the legs of your hutch they shouldn't be able to get past that

I moved pugs into hutches and treated the legs with ant gel, I was lucky not to loose any kits as when I first noticed them they was in nest box all over some meat the Jill had stashed away, the court is striped now and iv treated the nest boxes and floor and all the nooks craneys so hopefully I have got rid of them for now anyway, I normally put expecting Jill's in hutches, all are doing fine and the kits have just started eating bits of mushed up rabbit flesh, thanks for your advice and atb.

Put nest box on stilts and double sided tape up the legs should stop them
