Guest Lord B
Does anyone here have any experiance of buying Brenke (or other make) slugs in the UK? I've used them aplenty abroad but never encountered them over here although I know they are available. Does anyone have the entitlement to hold them on their FAC? How easy was it to get? I keep meaning to ask the BASC guys, just never got round to making the call. Thank you. Edited December 28, 2007 by Lord B Quote Link to post
Guest baldie
We sell slug in the shop, and because my local club has a shotgun steels, and slug range, any member can get them...BUT...they have to be a member of the UKPSA first .Brenneke are slighty different, they are usually rifled, or have driving vanes not unlike a dart. I personally do not know anyone who has them on their fac for game shooting, but there must be people who have lots of deer and especially wild boar that do? Most constabularies dislike slug with a passion as its so deadly.A man hit square on up to 100 yards has no chance of survival. Quote Link to post
Tyla 3,179
A friend of my Grandad used to make his own. i remember years ago watching him doing it, he melted the lead into what i remember as being a thimble and then loaded it back into the cartridge. i dont know what gun or game he used them for and dont know how he coped with the choke on the gun as i was only a kid at the time. Waz 4,293
Ive had a box of 10 (brenneke rifled) for about 3 years, never fired one, prefer the dogs to stop the boars. Quote Link to post
