just wondering can anyone tell me why some people breed there bitches so that they have pups in the middle of the winter when its hunting season. surely if there dogs where any good the last thing they would want is there dog missing a good chunk of the season.

What if the bitch only comes into season every twelve months and that happens to be in the winter? Or the bitch is getting to the end of a career and this could be the last chance to line her? Or the bitch having the litter isn't the only worker in the kennels? There are so many reasons.........

c'mon simoman, mate......you must work for the CIA. I've heard of dogs being lined out in secret desert locations during the hunting season THAT and strange lights and noises......nevermind the siting of a sire in a white rhinestone jumpsuit, sideburns, DA and sunglasses heard to utter "Thank you, very much!" as he left the hangar.

conspiracy for sure!

It all boils down to whether its a geniune owner who is breeding with a goal and purpose in mind or a messer who will breed soley for personel or financial gain. Sometimes breeding at an inconvinient time in the year is a neccesity..........

you have all summer to bring a pup on and a chance to start it working and if you have other dogs that work no problem
