at the moment i have a lurcher which is kept indoors but eventually i would like to get another dog but the only way i could do this would be for it to live in a kennel and run.

i always house train a dog first and then slowly introduce it to the kennel ........by the time its three months old its normaly house trained and in the kennel through the night ......by the time its 4 months old they are in the kennel full time but still fetch the it in now and again for training and socialising ......if i was in you situation i would build or get a kennel and a run and start intuduceing yours to it now just for half hour then a bit longer each time .....feed it in there and when you go to let it out... go in the run yourself and make a fuss off it for 5 min .........it will make it easier when you get another dog too ......all the best snoop ...
