I saw a post on one of the aussie forums some fella was out shooting on an enormous farm/ranch where the guy want every thing killed apart from his cattle. The guy was blasting horses donkeys that just stood there and any thing else all for sport on his part. He used boxes of ammo and just left it where it all dropped. Pest control for the land owner on a large scale I guess. But I couldn't stomach that

Donkey culls of feral donkeys,they also shoot horse,camel,dog,cat,the pig situation is texas is necessary,they have an estimated 2,000,000 pigs,thats a lot of pork,some farmers have been on the brink of bankruptcy so they do aerial pig culls,the same as the kiwi used to do with red deer,and some americans do with coyote etc.

yes I can imagine its all a different scale over there. Just hard to picture such amounts when you struggle to go for a walk and spot 3 rabbits

Apparently the wild boar population in Texas is wising up to the sound of approaching rotors so hunters are looking into using hot air balloons as a way of shooting the pigs.
