Gemma Update

Just a quick update. Last year I bred my bitch and my Daughter took the pick of the litter, this is Gemma now 14 mths old a natural hunter, and surprisingly quick on her feet, as tough and keen as they get. I like a dog that likes teeth!

No pure bred, more of the old agile line on the fathers side not a good photo but this is mum and dad

Hard to find decent pure breeds a lot of lads go mad on these American bully's they've got about as much bottle as a wet sponge possing dogs

The thing about this breed mate is they are excessive compulsive, and when you learn to direct that compulsion to hunting, they will kill, hold, or die before they give up, or let go until commanded, that’s their strength .

I love this breed, and have used x breds on all sorts of game except deer, not sure why you say they have no bottle, there is no breed I know with more, some have as much JMO

You've miss understood me mate a good bull is hard to come by in the uk a lot of what about over where I am are those dogs that are called American bully's nothin like a good pit they have no bottle not like the dogs you have got there obviously

I work bull greyhounds and you can tell if they've had decent bull blood in them the pup I've got here at the moment has got some good bull blood in him his brother who I sadly lost was hell of a game dog with stamina and speed too hope this pup is the same

Sorry my bad mate. I not familiar with American bully’s in the late 70’s we ran a lot of Greyhound x E.B.T and to their credit did what they were intended for, in the early ’s this type was improved by substituting E.B.T for A.P.T (IMO) I don’t use them in my x’s any more but only because I mainly stick to the bunny’s these days, and prefer sighthound crosses (3/4whippet x 1/4Deerhound) but if you want a dog to tackle teeth and tusk for the long haul, a bit of A.P.T goes a long way. I only keep pure’s now and have done for 30 yrs + such a great dog to have around, especially when we spotlight the odd red dog, whippet cross slows them up for the kill.

Yeah a good pit is to find over here there crossed with God knows what and not tested but that's how it goes I suppose ?
