jessica7894 0
I use Reliable Brio 500CC Dry Vapor Steamer. Quote Link to post
Torquemada 288
I have a bog standard one you can pick up at any hardware store. Does the job just as well for a fraction of the price. How do I know it does the job? Results. Quote Link to post
trappa 517
Thanks lads. Stormyboy, ye id love a cimex but its just too dear to be justified imo. I dont get nowhere near as many BB jobs as the urban pesties so im looking for something cheaper but as effective. Jessica, i cant find one of those. Its not on ebay anyway. will keep looking though Torquemeda, Is it a dry steamer you use? Im looking for something that will tick all the boxes including not cost me a great deal. Any pointers on a specific model to look for ? Edited March 14, 2017 by trappa Quote Link to post
Torquemada 288
Karcher do a version for £150 or so, but there are other similar ones that you can get cheaper. With the pinhead nozzle setting the steam output is too high on these types (Cimex you can adjust the output) and will strip away the fibers of a mattress quite easily, but it is good for cracks and crevices if don't want to use chemicals on them. For the mattress I just use the flat applicator, comes out nice and gentle, kills the bed bugs just the way we like... Quote Link to post
trappa 517
Is this the model you mean torquemeda? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KARCHER-SC3-PREMIUM-STEAM-CLEANER-15130020-Brand-New-in-a-box-/201682791981?hash=item2ef53b2e2d:g:cs0AAOSw0e9Uwimq Quote Link to post
Torquemada 288
Not sure if it is that exact model as it's in the stores but the floor fitting doesn't have that knobbly bit on it. You just need what would be the equivalent of a flat fan setting on a sprayer. 1 Quote Link to post
