Terror In The Countryside Huh?

Recommended Posts

I'm aware its an anachronistic view ,but as a person who hunts I despise the title "field sports " as far as I'm concerned I hunt ,I eat or make use of what I hunt ,I am not playing a sport ,I feel as much affinity with those ego maniacs involved in competitive coursing or those club starting control freaks as I would with a vegan anti ,they all look down their nose at me and are all doing their bit to make sure I won't be able to wander the countryside freely with my grandson .

Long live the one for the pot man .

well said that man, here,s a little question, as my name implies I,m not a very social person and spend a lot of my outdoor time alone, a few close mates when fishing, but just me and my dogs, when out mooching, I find other people's company just detracts from the things I see and hear when I,m out, and in nearly 40 years, I have never had permission, but have never really had any hassle either, I stop and say hello to the farmers I meet on my travels, and if I,m asked what I'm doing there just say I,ve lost the footpath I was on, usually I see or hear other people a long time before they see me and just slip away unnoticed, so is all this hassle that people keep speaking about caused by the fact most people hunt with a group of mates and a pack of dogs, so farmers are more likely to phoned plod than accost a gang of blokes, ??
