Patrol 1
Hi guys Anyone got a hob without its bits, I've enough ferrets for the coming season, just want to borrow a hob to sort my lot out if anyone has one in the Kent area they could lend me for a week or two at the most Cheers Patrol Quote Link to post
hideandshoot 13
Just out of interest, why wouldn't someone let their hob go to someone elses house? If I had a vasectomised hob I'd be OK about someone else feeding it for a couple of weeks. The hob gets to go on a club 18-30 holiday, and the jills get knocked off heat. Everyone's a winner. £100 deposit though and either a day out ferreting or a good bottle of wine as payment. Quote Link to post
The one 8,555
ITs no just letting him go to other folks houses say there security's no as good as your and he goes missing ? But if you loan him out he can bring sexual diseases back then infect your jills and later when you want to breed from them they dont take 2 Quote Link to post
Patrol 1
Thanks Guys I normally have a hob myself. He passed on last year, all my lot (15) of em, they all have 2 check ups with the vet pre and post main season, I really look after my lot as they are really good workers and I've kept the same line for years albeit watered down with selected new blood. I'll whip em down the vets in the week, ( that will liven the vets up a bit ) For a jab, prefer the natural way hence thread Regards Patrol Quote Link to post
Mochastorm 68
I know this doesn't assist with your current predicament, but this is the ideal time of year to sort out next season's problems. Get a young hob, and next spring when his testicles descend get him off to the vet for the snip. I'm with the One on this, I won't lend out my lad or have visiting jills. His physical security when he is away from home is one issue, but the bio security issues also have to be considered. All manner of infections and diseases can be transmitted, sexually and otherwise.
