JohnGalway 1,043
Howdy doody, I've developed a rather nasty habit of taking the quad to the hill, lately to try to find missing hoggets. An annoying thing happened last week, I came across four or five young greycrows, which I could get within twenty yards of, and all I could shoot at them was dirty looks. The ground I travel over can be very, very rough. Hill/bogland, lots of tussocks, and butts of peat sticking up, as well as rock, swamp etc. So slinging the 14lbs .223 over my shoulder isn't an option, as I'd rather not have a bruised spine or concussion. So I'm window shopping for a gun rack. Rifle has a 56mm Nightforce and a Harris bipod so the scabbard type boxes won't suit. I would be thinking maybe two U shaped clamps maybe? Needs to be able to keep the gun where it's put 100% as the bike bounces around the scenery. Anyone got experience with this type of set up please? Many thanks. Quote Link to post
