Hw 110 Pellets

Hi guys home fae work early the day so grabbed the new hw 110 in 177 headed to the local shooting club to zero the scope thought nothing of picking up the airarms diabolo field pellets set the target up 25 yards in the indoor range and try to set the scope ooooooooo dear couple on target but so many going everywhere but the point of aim so nip out to the car back with a tin of rws superdome and the same so any of u boys had the same problem with the 110 or what pellets are u using or is it a case of trying more pellets

Did you clean the barrel out before you put any pellets in her as all hw rifles come from the factory with grease in the barrels to protect them when standing in the rfd shops as they dont know how long it will be before there sold .

 

And this is why you need to clean the barrel or all the pellets will fly all over the place

 

this could be the problem and you will need to re,lead the barrel as well before it all comes together with the groupings

To be honest a never cleaned the barrel bud but a will certainly try it going to the gun shop tomorrow anything In particular u could recommend bud

superfields and bisley mags in my 177

tried all sorts and these work for me!

as mac said clean the barrel, i put a few oiled up felt wads" rollie filters"through followed by 5 dry and this cleans it nicely!

usually do pull throughs but i didn't fancy it with this being a new gun and no tips floating about yet!

super domes and aa field are all over the place in mine too

You want a pull through

OK guys back to the gun shop this morning got a pull through cleaning kit done the job got a tin of rws superfields and tin of Bisley magnus tried the rws first just as bad as the airarms and the superdome then on to the Bisley magnums the were spot on so put a good 100 /150 through the hw 110 and very pleased spot on at 25 yards just hope it keeps up when the range steps up in the fields so any u guys get the hw 110 a would try the magnums the defo worked for me and thanks again for the info guys

there wasn't a great deal in it with the mags and superfields,,, but the mags tipped it for me!

now you've put some lead down it have an other go with the sf, i recon they might tighten up!

I'm happy using the mags but there may be others out there!
