Introduction: New Member From Holland

Recommended Posts

Good evening.

Im new on this forum and Im from Holland. My forum name is dutchjozef (dj) Im 42 years old and this is the only forum next to Tom Gaylords Airgunblog that I attend.

I started shooting when I was 10 years old. I had the best coach I could wish for: my dad. In his day he belonged to the top 4 best countersnipes from all the dutchforces and he was the army's number 1 sniper.

I started with 10m airrifle and 3p airrifle. After a few years I switched to an Anschuetz 54 match rimfire and shot 50 meters offhand, 50 meters 3p, 50 meters 5 position and runningboar.

I am an airgunaddict and I have a lovely wife who understands what airgunning means to me.

My current line-up is: fwb 600, hw80.22, walther comp ultra .22, walther lg55 match, walther lg55 Tyro. Im still looking for a cracking hw55 though!!!

In my country its illigal to hunt with an airgun. But I do hunt with my airrifles. Mainly rooks, pigeon and the occasional rabbit. Rooks are protected in our country. So when hunting rooks, I have to make extra sure that every shot is a kill shot.

Every spring I shoot between 70 and 110 rooks in my neigbourhood after that the word spreads around in rook-land. I also do vermin contol for farmers with my airguns.

I have no favorite hunting airrifle, different tasks call for different rifles. I have 3 main hunting airguns, being the fwb 600, comp ultra and the hw80.

I do all the maintanace on the rifles myself, and love to experiment with pistons, springs, lubes and adjustments.

I also have a 42 kg and 11 year old boxer. He hunts rabbit and hares. Hunting hare is one thing, CATCHING a hare is something else. He has never caught a hare in his life.

Thats it, cheers
