2.7 is an old school diesel, fairly robust if a bit prone to cooling problems, the 3.0 is a common rail engine, chain driven so no belt BUT nissans don`t like missing oil changes, check the older 2.7 models for rust and later ones for service history

i had a 2.7 for 5 years very good had to replace alternator thats it .easy to do oil and fiters on the model i had with twin lights at front plenty of torque in them . as neil says they are chain and not belt

the 3.0 is chain the td27 is gears
