NEWKID 28,038
Done one recently for my wife's salon, used my accountant to draught it up then filled in a the content. He put together projected forecasts etc based on her firsts year trading and our plans for the future. Couple of words of advice, don't make your forecasts look to good be realistic even a bit pesimistic if your looking for money from the bank, window cleaning (like the wife's business) is a cash business generally paid in completion of job (only small credit accountants possibly?) so the bank sees you managing your cash flow quite easily. Money's "cheap" at the minute though, so it's a good time to loan and build a business. Good luck mate.

But if not, now is a really good time to borrow a bit with a good plan in place and set up, interest rates are low and economy looks good for a while yet, not a bad time for a punt. Good luck with your venture Francie, hope it goes well mate

I've been self employed since 19, don't think I could work for anyone now. I still enjoy it and that's key, the business has grown a lot in the last 5 years, and as a company we've diversified a lot... Always keep your eye open for an oppourtunity/new contact.. You never know where they'll be but people make you money in the end mate.
