ryaldinhio 4,136
I did put some maths to that but I have had 5 cans of larger, a bottle of strong parsnip wine and onto the plum wine now!
ryaldinhio 4,136
Or applying simple maths it could be 1,711/1 which makes more sense!
ryaldinhio 4,136
changed mi mind again and this time you can see the maths. https://db.tt/NtJT6W6Y

Wxm 1,638
Right the New York lottery on betfred If you pick 1 number the odds are 8/1 so if there's 59 numbers and 7 numbers get pulled your return is £63 giving you £4 for every 59 you put on .. £59 gives you £4 £590 gives you £40 £5900 gives you £400 £59000 gives you £4000 See my trail of thinking ? Not much of a return but your still getting a return Well if you pick 2 numbers to come up and they come up then the odds are 100/1 so ...... I had a little to much time on my hands and tried working it out to see if you'd be in profit or not ??
ryaldinhio 4,136
Cant believe I tried to do this so many times when I was pissed!!! Yes I see your thinking and IF you get ur stake back, which I dont think you do, then yes you would be making a profit.
ryaldinhio 4,136
I think the number of combinations is; 59x58=3422 and considering you are not trying to pick the pair in order: 3422/2= 1711 so the actual odds of picking 2 numbers are 1 - 1711 hence why bookies make money!
