Is it new? I'm guessing not, but have to ask. Maybe get it on a tank and see what pressure is in it. Not sure the hornet is a reg'd system, unless it's a custom job and secondhand... what do you know about its power curve? Does it have a leak?

It can be frustrating I know, but stick with it.

Get it topped up to the pressure it should have and do a full shot string over a crono... If it's got a problem you see it occur over the 60-80 shots it should output.

I can't imagine it's complete off accuracy being down to the optic, or anything 'solid' so to speak, it sounds a pressure issue.

Check the silencer is not loose and check that the pellets are not clipping the silencer on the way out this you can easily hear if you take the silencer off and shake it you will hear the bits of pellets in the silence also tap it on the parm of your hand and see if any bits fall on to your hand

also try it with out the silencer and see how it groups

it may not be the answer your after but similar has happened to me and it was the silencer in my case
