Raymond 618
bred my hob to my jill hopeing to get some kits to bring on as replacements for when my ferrets are slowing down over the next season or 2. The jill had a phantom and came back into season. She had 3 kits yesterday. Never had them this late. I be lucky to get them started by the end of the season coming. Quote Link to post

The rabbits seem to be breeding earlier each season around my way I'm seeing a good few 3 quarter grown doe's hopping about, they're either of out feeding young, or out on the pull, so fingers crossed, there should be a few rabbits about for the ferrets after the frost arrive. 1 Quote Link to post
The one 8,589
That's the problem with late kits , do you start them and let them see a little bit and see what you think of them , or do you feed them a whole year before you try them , me I prefer a nice early kit and letting it build up body size and maturity and showing it a wee bit late in the season 3 Quote Link to post

Just delighted I got some kits from the pair hope nothing goes wrong with them and I get a chance to work them Quote Link to post
The one 8,589
after a few years a phantoms I hedged me bets this year and am now over stocked with Kitts that are all even and cant as yet pick a best, I'm hoping ill end up with a good few workers out these litters as I have struggled after all the phantoms in past, time will tell Think that's the best way to go though I mean what does it cost to run a couple of ferret kits on as long as you have the ground to work them hard and give them a proper try out before you select the best .Or else your caught with a load of older ferrets that aren't up too ferreting 3/4 full days a week 1 Quote Link to post
