VWman 232
Hello guys I got a combro mk4 cb-625 from Ramsbottoms the other week and have just got round to trying it tonight. Both my rifles are .22 so will it know that as I can't see any settings for .22 or .177 ? The light was a bit overcast and there was a cloud/ sunshine on the screen. I got some readings but not sure about it ? Could you talk me through it. Quote Link to post
chris58b 1
Hi, The pellet size is irrelevant. It's the weight and velocity that is used to calculate Ft lb. To set the weight you press RST until the current weight shows, then adjust it ( using the other two buttons ) to the pellet weight you are using then press RST again. That's it. If you've not got the instruction manual you can download it from the crombro website. Regards, Chris 1 Quote Link to post
VWman 232
Thanks Chris I was hopping that was the case. I had a quick go tonight and have a break barrel so I checked for line up with the tool each time and it through up error. I think I should have just trusted that it would be lined up but it's the first time I have used one. I will try again tomorrow when I have more time. Also the best od the light had gone. Durham John 693
Vwman, Light levels don't effect the combro as the pellet passes the beams inside the two tunnels. Just make sure the weights input correct and it lines up 100% every shot you take with a springer. You'll get outputs in speed or muzzle energy. Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
Direct sun will effect the readings !! Only if you aim the damned thing at the sun! I have used my Combro inside, outside, in direct sunlight, by fluorescent tube, never had a problem! Quote Link to post

I totally agree ,but from experience I was getting some low readings , turned out to be direct sun hitting it , suppose I do live in sunny , sunny Bournemouth though Quote Link to post

VWman 232
Direct sun will effect the readings !! Hello villaman I tried again tonight and was not in such a rush. I think what I was doing was checking the line up with the plastic tool and this was messing up the reading so I turned it off as I checked the line up from shot to shot and all was well. BTW I got one of them fixing straps that you recommended and it was just the job cheers. 1 Quote Link to post
VWman 232
Thanks for the replies guys, panic over. The one thing I will say is that the bracket was a bit miss shaped so I had to wet and dry it to make it a better fit. Has anyone had that on there's. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
No, I did have one snap though, they had a bad batch and they replaced it, as well as sending me an alignment tool, data cable and loads of batteries FOC. Combro have great customer service! They are also incredibly cheap if you do manage to blow it to smithereens too! Quote Link to post
treecreeper 1,136
Yep, top service from combro. Quote Link to post

VWman 232
Has anyone got a data sheet for the actual weights of pellets as I have been told that it is not always on the tin or may differ a bit from what it says. If the weight input is not spot on i won't have the result I need to be sure i am not over ? What about a digital scales, where to buy and which make do you all use ?. Thanks for the feed back guys. secretagentmole 1,701
I go by the weight that is given for the pellet and aim to get between 11 to 11.5 ft lb, that way I will be safe given pellet weight variation! Quote Link to post
