Rez 4,961
Having a closer look at this image I'm notice you have an rapid model. I'm guessing it came from tawnado? Whats it like? There aren't many come up on THL. In fact yours is the first I've seen on here. hi rez, yeah it's a RAW HM1000 in .20, it's absolutely spot on a little bit heavy that's why I fitted sling. its a side lever action which is so smooth and the laminated stock is stunning to. atb bob. Did you consider the Impact Airgun models before hand? Naturally its a a split in the old Theoben outfit. What made you go for that? Did you try the GSX for example? Some right coin you've splashed out there... Quote Link to post

Cumbrianbob 38
Basically there roughly the same price ie gsx 200, plus all you seem to see forums that Lads are phoning or emailing impact airguns and not getting through, I know of 2lads who bought the gsx 200 and weren't happy with them. I wasn't looking to buy one of theses (RAW HM1000) but one come up for sale on airguns, the lad who I bought it off has the bullpup bug so put it for sale. I'm not saying impact are rubbish they may have had teeving problems when they first started out and they may have other come this cause I know they are getting more publisty and are doing well in hft. This one is well built (like a tank) and is faultless in my opinion. Atb bob. Quote Link to post
Rimfireboy! 1,463
Well, the original Rapids were well engineered, if a bit agricultural by today's standards. I wouldn't swap mine for a more modern piece though, because it's easily owner serviceable and there's so little to go wrong. They should last forever really. Having said that, they aren't the sleekest of rifles and a lot of modern ones are probably better handling and lighter. Quote Link to post
