secretagentmole 1,701
The butcher we currently use has had a terminal decline in quality. What was a nice 97% meat sausage is now at least a 80/20 meat rusk mix and now tastes damned awful. The person who runs the butchers cannot cut meat, chops are full of bone splinters, steaks an inch and a half thick at one end, half an inch at the other end, also the sneaking suspicion that the meat is frozen and defrosted prior to purchase means I was looking for a good supplier of meat. Local butchers are ok but tend to buy at wholesalers whereas this supplier, used, and I say used as I am now unsure if he does, to supply meat he had bred and raised himself.Find a farm shop that sells meat listed and ring them up. He has stopped the farm shop and sold that bit of land, but he still raises goats and sells the meat from them as well as raising loads of wild rabbits that eat the grass the goats graze on."Oh I shoot rabbits as a hobby, sort of free pest control!" I said. "I have insurance cover and can tell the difference between a goat and a rabbit...""Excellent, come round and have a look!"So possible supply of kid goat (got to see what that is like by trying the sausages he sells first) and a rabbit shooting permission! 1 Quote Link to post
The one 8,600
Nice going mate , it's easier to get permission now as farmers see all the young rabbits running about and the ive got hundreds is heard in every breathe lol Quote Link to post
