Is It Possible To Photograph Light?

Recommended Posts

I just looked out the window and the light looked like rain due. Is it possible to convey that in a photo? Bit off the wall I know, but just something that struck me. Something like the light you get when snow is due in the winter.

google the kelvin chart. for photography. that should pull up some more info. you will have presets on your camera also.

Funnily enough, I have been looking at the Kelvin chart for lighting recently, Trying to get LED bulbs of the right warmth of lighting for the house.

Thanks.

Buy a filter kit. And a tripod. And a release. In winter I often use a graduating filter with a touch of blue tint to the top 50%, and it looks awesome. Couple this with a polarisor and there's nothing you can't capture IMO. Polarising filters are the most under rated thing in photography...

It doesn't matter about what your camera settings are, it's about the light that comes through the lens.
