pie-eater 377
since monday i have been hearing the usual squeaks from there nest box.... today though no nosie at all !!!!! so went to have a look. no kits left in there and the other jill has still yet to give birth. should i now move the pregnant one??? Id move the jill that had the kits out now. impossible to say which jill ate the kits but the one that hasn't given birth yet will probably have a better chance on her own. Quote Link to post
The one 8,579
As said separated them , was it there first litter ? The Jill that lost the kits will come right back into season so you can still take a litter off her if you want Quote Link to post
samuria 346
the one that had the kits was pulling the pregnant jill back to the nest box. yes it was her first litter!!! so best to remove the jill that had the kits? can i keep her with the hob so she has company? thanks for the help Quote Link to post
The one 8,579
Take it ,it will be the other Jill's first litter as well ? It's been a learning curve and she's lost the lot the same might happy even if this Jill is on her own , you can keep the Jill that had the kits with your hob but she's going to come back into season so watch when the hob mates her and you will know her due date Quote Link to post
