Rez 4,961
Ive been pretty bored today, got most of the work done I needed so started messing about with Chair Gun. My PS is only outputting 9.77ftt/lbs, just checked, but found that, as I only shoot @ 6x mag, and with my Falcon ret being uber fine at this setting and on the first focal, I aim literally dead on from 10'ish yards all the way to 45 bloody yards if the target stays within the first half mil dot, which it will at 6 mag. This covers an inch target, or a small rabbits bonit. I shall try this out in the field. As you might imagine, Ive not really used Chair Gun that much, its all to much 'trust' the numbers, but if they are correct, its pretty sweet. 1 Quote Link to post
Rimfireboy! 1,463
I was shooting rabbits, rats, squirrels etc with my old Webley .177 and was surprised to find that it had only been running at just over 8ft lbs. did the job though. 1 Quote Link to post
Newlife2 55
Hello Rez, what pellet are you using? Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,568
Hi Rez, 9.77 ft/lb with a Falcon menace 4-14x44 = good accuracy and more than enough power at sub 12 ranges. I wish as a young lad that i`d have learned quicker that accuracy is paramount not power, - we had no access to chronographs so i changed my mainspring twice a year like a numpty . atb Quote Link to post
SimonC_Here 36
It will be near 1 mildot at 45 yards on your scope, 1.4 inches drop, not half mildot. You will have to set up chairgun with a first focal plane scope reticule rather than the hawke one you have it set to. Or set the program to the magnification where the mildots are true. 10x or 20x on the hawke depending on the one you picked. For your scope, it won't matter what mag you use as the aim points will be the same. That's kind of the point of the FFP scopes. Simon Edited May 26, 2015 by SimonC_Here Quote Link to post
