Hardly represents the whole of her race etc The stupidest thing I see (aapart from her, cos she's clearly thick as a post) is that it appears they have given her the role of diversity officer, simply because she's is BME. My headline says "po!itical correctness", nothing else. I posted the story to illustrate how the intellectually vain PC-brigade hide behind "non-language" to avoid actually saying anything meaningful. As a result, proper debate becomes stifled, because certain words and ideas are demonized by a small enclave, who see themselves as intellectually and politically superior. Example ? She is quoted in The Times as saying that the event claimed to be "challenging the white-centric culture of occupation", while "diversifying our curriculum and building a cross-campus campaign to put liberation at the heart of the movement". So, using "non-language", the event was described as " BME, women and non-binary only". Which actually means.........NO WHITE MEN ALLOWED ! So why didn't she just say that, instead of dancing around the subject and actually finishing up making a mockery of her own efforts ? That's exactly what she did say. There's even a picture of her post. It clearly says " so of your white and a man DO NOT COME. Clearly she is an idiot. I just don't see what this has to do with being 'political correctness gone mad'. Student union officials are normally students who've been 'voted' in. No organisation or official has told her to ban whites or men. She's clearly a numpty who hasn't a clue about diversity and has messed up. As I said , the only stupid thing I see is that they've made her diversity officer when she clearly doesn't even understand the concept. And has probably only gotten the role because of her race, gender and/or sexual orientation. Need to employ the best person for the job, which clearly wasn't this numpty.
