After last years trip to the river U R E and speaking to local anglers they reccomended something heavy and visable, or a small white dry fly. Iv looked into the small dry flies and them found theese for the wets......

Iv ordered a few and I'll try them in next few months when I get chance to go there again.

 

Has anyone used theese? I'm not very experienced at this but very curious to hear of anyone useing them and how they did?

Cheers I only go once or twice a year and thaught they looked good? Last year I fished nymphs and caught a chub! My brother fished a large red and silver heavy wet fly and caught plenty of trout.

Thanks johnymudler what sort of colours would you recommend? Bright colours or natural colours?

Id personally start with the more natural ones and see how I got on, let us know how you get on

Thought similar but more of a confidence thing I wondered. I will update but got a few weeks until I get to go there.

Had a few sea trout with epoxy minnows, fished on a sink tip. The brown trout pattern in different sizes.

I got them from eBay there's loads on there.

 

I like the look of them they kind of look like a mini spinner and I had chub from the U R E last year so maybe pick se more up would be nice.

I used to use them a lot on a local reservoir that always had a cross wind so I'd always get my leader out nice and straight.

I caught plenty on them.

i caught on them useing a floating line and long leader cast across the wind so the line formed a bow and the lure travelled in an arc they are ok at times but for me no better than a good lure or cats whisker maybe on on fry bashing fish
