Whippet Pup 5 Months, Learning The Art Of Bushing

Recommended Posts

Like those pics fella, by the looks of it she has a good teacher. Just got back in from a mooch about half hour ago, was out for about 3 hours with the terrier and did not see one rabbit same as yesterday when i was out at another place, nothing about. I know there used too be rabbits there because my terrier has caught them there before... i would of thought with the warmer weather i would of least seen a couple. The terrier was entering bits of cover having a sniff then coming straight out, i hope things improve soon. atb daywalker.

Im the same mate out every morning for a couple of hours, different here, lots of rabbits about, old dog gets several hunts on, this time of year Im not wanting to catch, so glad the cover is coming on, just want one or two for the pup to learn ready for the back end, for nearly 30 years we used to travel into Scotland and over the country, lamping and ferreting, now into my 60's I just ratch about local, nothing serious but like to get out and about.

To me it,s all about watching the dog work, thats what i love the most catching come's second too be honest, don,t get me wrong i do like to see the terrier catch now and then coz i think that keeps them keen so to speak and my terrier being fairly young that is all she can manage, a catch here n there, saying that if the last few times i have been out are anything to go by i don,t think she will be making any catches at all. atb daywalker.
