Deker 3,491
Came across these in a clearing in the woods last night, they seemed quite friendly, it was a tight fit getting them back in the motors and lots of hard work at home. I'm not familiar with this sort of deer but my mate says he's shot loads and they taste great, apparently the fur makes good socks as well! Some before and after pics. 1 Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Haha. I shoot a local alpaca fur farm and their are tons of rabbits. Just never try calling a fox when they are around as they make a crazy loud alarm call. Quote Link to post
forest of dean redneck 12,023
I hate anything that looks like a llama. When I was little my grandad and dad took me to a smallholding to buy a donkey. Owner said it's in the stable ran into this dark stable block.round the corner and in a pen was this fecking snake headed thing .It reared up and started to make this regurgitating noise.my dad reckoned I jumped 3 ft off the ground. maktayla 50
They do look lovely without their fur and on a plate in your third picture. Mmmmmm! Are they lawful quarry Just joking Deker. Good post though. Its funny how you mentioned the noises they make. I went to my local garage late last night. There is a lot of land where Lapwings nest and they quite often fly over the garage at night and make their usual, unusual calls. Last night they did seem particularly loud and the lady in the garage said to me, "Thats those foxes again". I looked at her and smiled. Some boys that had been there a few nights before for fuel, just prior to going shooting, had told her it was foxes making the noise. Quite funny to be honest. Especially if foxes did make that noise. Anyway, the poor woman, believe it or not, was very apprehensive of having to go out into the forecourt late at night because of the foxes. She was relieved after I told her what it was. I couldn't figure out how, she never twigged that foxes don't fly, (not that I know of anyway). I suppose the moral of my story is: Ive put a post on here about a cat that was supposedly shot in Llangorse, as you might have seen. I wonder what the un-weary shooter would think of, if they heard an Alpaca at night. Off the top of my head, I couldn't tell you what one might sound like, so it would probably get me wondering especially if I was out foxing and I got a reply from a load of them. Quote Link to post
