John Stott 202
I put all the new hammer spring, valve spring anti bounce kit. in one of mine ,I thought it made a bit of difference but after a bit had problems . Spoke to two very good tuners they told me that these kits are a waste of time and one said they had quite a few HW100 come in for repair after these kit had been fitted. Had mine taken out and fitted new HW springs ,been spot on . IMO its very hard to improve these guns and HW are probably the quietest guns around No the Daystate electronic trigger guns (Mk 3, Mk 4 etc) are the quietest as they have no hammer, only a solenoid that goes click and not whack! I am talking about proper airguns not electrical switches I honestly do not think you can compare an electronic gizmo to an HW. My experience ( and many others ) of Daystate is one of sheer, overpriced gimmicks. The fact that Daystate, unlike Weirhauch and many others need to constantly turn out new gimmicks speaks volumes. Look at facts, Daystate cannot even turn out a reliable mechanical action, my tally of seized bolts on Hunstman, Regals and Wolverines, that is the ones I am aware of, is now twenty five. Faulty HW 100? Two, and they were dodgy seals. I haunt a few clubs, frankly Daystate electronic things, for they are not rifles, are laughed at. A guarantee to have the pee taken out of you for months. That manufacturer is nothing but a profit centred bunch of crooks who do shooting no favours at all. Look at AA for sticking with a tried and tested action, 200 & 400 have stood the test of time, as has the HW100. As for the need to tune a HW100, I do not see the point, it is nigh on perfect. Then of course, fifty years of shooting most types of rifle, shotgun and the odd mortar and I know nothing. Bugger me, just realised its monday morning again Be carful John , the Gaystate boys don't like it ,they will go home crying and you will have their mother after you You do realise that modern aircraft and some vehicle mounted machine guns do have electronically controlled firing mechanisms! Yes, I also know many tales of failures of such equipment too. The most reliable systems for full auto are manual. And what are folk doing riding around and flying? There is only one way of war.
