Gtbaker369 44
Hi all, As title says really. I'm just wondering if anyone know what the max is for a rabbit/ squirrel etc? I obviously talking about head/neck shots. Cheers Quote Link to post
Gtbaker369 44
So your saying it will kill as far as I can hit the target? Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
It takes around 2.5 ftlbs energy to kill a rabbit (head shot) so it is still delivering more than enough energy to do the job @ 70 yards, but should you shoot at 70 yards? In my opinion no, my .243 is still delivering well over a thousand ftlbs at 500 yards, would I shoot at a deer/fox at that range? No, the art is getting as close as you can and delivering a single humane kill shot, as said practice, practice, and more practice. 2 Quote Link to post

The one 8,594
Its no the gun but the person behind the trigger some guys will take shots out to fifty plus yards or claim to , others wont shoot more than thirty yards as said how comfortable are you with the gun ? how much shooting do you do ? can you hit the kill spot time after time ? If your happy to pull the trigger and are sure your going to kill the animal take the shot if no dont yardage doesnt come into it 1 Quote Link to post
