Do you feed your dogs up in the summer not talking really fat or do you keep them fit still

I personally keep mine ticking over just out and about a bit. I like to get him down the river or along the coast if weather gets hot. He hates the heat being heavy coated so early mornings and late evenings.

You should cut food down to fit the work load. Because a dogs doing less work in the summer shouldnt mean they have to get fat.

i feed dry food and lots of meat daily during the winter months when working my dog hard. in the summer months i cut the dogs daily intake of meat down to once or twice a week and feed enough dry food daily to keep the dog looking well. he also has the table scraps from the house all year round.
