shropshire dan 467
Just got one of these lamps and after field testing it I have to say it's the best lamp I've ever bought or used. It's more powerful than my plug in foxing lamps and only 6" long haha. Really good lamp Quote Link to post
nasher1 258
Have you tried any of the t torches in comparison I have the T20 in different colours with doublers on and they still cost a lot less than the nightsearcher and the range on them is amazing. 1 Quote Link to post
Tremo 138
I once used some T67's (IR and Green). Not bad, but toooo heavy for a long night solo lamping. I'm getting older, not younger. My pit-pony days are over, lugging tonnes of equipment up and down the hills where I shoot. I'm weighing up my options at the moment between a more lightweight (and powerful) lamp, or a dedicated NV scope. Can't see it happening until the end of this year though. Quote Link to post
nasher1 258
I just looked at the prices of the nightsearcher forget that t20 all the way Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
They are expensive. More power than my clulite lazerlight and same sort of eye shine as my lightforce 240 blitz. Extremely well made and lightweight Quote Link to post
Tremo 138
A new deer rifle and a new lamp?? Moneybags Dan? Quote Link to post
ianm 2,594
Yep! i knocked the old lamp+ wires+ battery pack on the head 3 yrs ago. I have 3 xsearchers and a t20. Two xsearchers are with i/r pills as is the T20 for my n/v gear, the other is for lamping with coloured leds but to be honest i can't remember the last time i did that, i just use n/v on everything. shropshire dan 467
Haha. I have a very understanding wife who also shoots so it's a win win. She often goes rabbiting while I'm at work and the kids are at school with the air rifle. She enjoys it but 70% of the time we shoot together she normally uses the .22lr or .410 whilst rabbiting and then lamps for me when foxing. My kids also join in now and again. I have 2 girls 7 and 9 and my boy 4 with another lad on the way. My girls have been duck shooting with me and my lad I sometimes take daytime foxing or rabbiting out of the truck. shropshire dan 467
It's sweet % of the time with the wife. But is a ball ache when she needs the toilet half way into a lamping mission another nightmare is "Daniel it's to cold" lol. But on the other hand I find it incredibly satisfying when the wife whispers "here comes Charlie, blow his bloody head off" haha 1 Quote Link to post
