Cedric 132 Posted February 25, 2015 Report Share Posted February 25, 2015 I use a light weight border spade, its the same length as a duffus, works a treat. Before that had a childrens border spade, really light weight, but the handle broke after a couple of years, been unable as yet to get a replacement being thinner than all available handles from hardware stores If you still need a thin shaft find a piece of well seasoned Holly, try a local stickmaker if you have one.
