I used to belong a local club in my late teens/early 20s but drifted away from it and my other outdoor hobby (angling) when other things - family, etc - began to take up more of my time and eventually sold my old Meteor. Have been fishing again for a few years now and recently, some friends of my mum's in Norfolk, who own a nursery and smallholding, invited me to join them on a rat and pigeon control session. Really enjoyed it and rekindled some of the old enthusiasm - even found I could still shoot, although my eyesight is not what it was. Am now reading reviews and deciding what to treat myself to. Being old school, it has to be a springer and break barrel preferably. Tried a LGV at my local gun shop (Pax, Archway) and liked it very much. Compared with the equivalent Weirauch, I found it suited me better - I am quite tall, with long arms and the Weihrauch stock felt a bit cramped by comparison. Once the Christmas bills are paid, feel I shall take the plunge. Anyway, apologies for rambling on and look forward to exchanging news and views with you all. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
