j j m 6,636 Posted February 5, 2015 Report Share Posted February 5, 2015 well when there was heavy snow the woodys just sat in the tree didnt moove when you approached,went out this morning as soon as you tried to get near them they were off a few people say the snow blinds there view when its heavy,well still got one big fat one sitting in a larch tree 30 yard head shot,as they say 1 is better then none Quote Link to post
tomburras 2,730 Posted February 5, 2015 Report Share Posted February 5, 2015 Years ago it snowed heavy and we threw a big rotten old cammo net out with full bodied decoys on top in the snow and it drew pigeons like nothing iv ever seen. Edit just thaught we where using shotguns but as an experiment we let them land stayed on ground for a while. Quote Link to post

Edit just thaught we where using shotguns but as an experiment we let them land stayed on ground for a while. Better if you clear maybe a Mtr by a mtr and put a decoy in the green etc youve cleared its a better attraction Quote Link to post

Was one of the best days decoying Iv ever had. Also didn't to leave cleared patches of snow as it may have become an easy target for the pigeons. Quote Link to post
