General lee 979
Sitting on the side of my bed this morning before breakfast looking at the 3 deer sitting in the hedge at the back of the field when 3 foxs break from the opposite side of the field chasing each other and having little scuffles two dogs fighting over a vixen I'm guessing they don't notice the deer until one is about 10 feet away the 3 deer stand up and 2 foxs back away but one try's to charge past as he does the buck starts coursing the fox after 4 turns the deer strikes stamping the fox several times ending with the fox limping away just thought I'd share the scene from my window with the group

beast 1,884
i was watching a herd of about 30 fallow one morning last summer, they were all laid down at the edge of a meadow. a fox comes out of the wood about 100 yards away, starts quartering the meadow i guess hunting voles or such. the deer all look straight at it, then all stand up and start walking towards it. fox looks but isnt too worried, keeps hunting. deer start to trot, very focussed on the fox now, and he begins to slink back towards the wood but suddenly the whole herd are stampeding at him, flat out, and foxy is running for his life, last 40 yards are a real out and out course, he iis twisting and turning all over the place and the deer are hell bent on catching him, but he slips into the wood and the thick brambles save him. i honestly beleive the deer were trying to kill that fox. there were a few young fawns in the herd and i wonder if they saw the fox as a threat to them?
