To be honest mate if you aren't altering the shape then the Dremel won't save you much time. They still need to be sanded by hand.

Ill be finishing these three alder forks when i get time at the weekend. I have a load of oak forks too drying out at minute.post-61040-0-95895400-1421266758_thumb.jpg

You don't need to go all the way round mate I generally put a shallow groove front and back so it can be banded either way round if its gonna have heavy hunting bands on. If its for plinking or a tiny BB shooter you don't even need to put in grooves. Unless they are there to look good.

thanks wally going to just put groves in now was there for ages last night trying to do it got to the last little bit and took a big chip out of it lol

If you have one try a long narrow round file..that's what I used anyway........didn't do it too bad.
