bobajob 56
I was wondering if the bellman systems ever need to be re calibrated.. i work in the building trade and we use alot of surveying equipment for distances/heights etc.. and if any of our equipment takes a slight nudge or fall these need to go and get recalibrated at a pretty penny.. surely these bellman systems are sensitive aswell and have been thrown and thumped about even the collars on the dog with constant baying , digging , mixing etc.. Just wondering if anybody useing them has ever been getting strange readings my mates one was ok up untill is was reading under 1m.. then it was giveing strange readings even when we knew the dog was only a foot away.. we did try diffrent box and collars but it all came down to his box.. these a very expensive kits and surely you would think there is some kind of technoligy that could prevent this from happening.. i could only think that these systems would need calibrated after a few hard seasons.. Clarkey92 10
Iv never thought about that until now, I also work with a lot of surveying equipment in the building trade, so I understand where your coming from, I'm also thinking about buying a b&f so it would be good to know, I guess it goes for any locator. paulsmithy83 567
Like everything they will be subject to wear and tear and eventually parts fail but lets remember what they were originally made for and still used for. There designed to take more stick. For user like skiiers and snowboarders to be able to use the systems when snowboarding off the trail. Obviously they need to be prity robust to have to survive the constant knock snow sports give them. Its the reason they cost so much due to how well there made. Just my take Quote Link to post
