Meeks 153
Was out last night with the lamp.was only out 45mins before the fog came down and ruined things.still managed 3 runs, dog caught 2 of them.done well to get the first one as I lost it in the lamp but he still nailed it in some thick cover. Grabbed two hobs this afternoon the haven't seen much action yet this season and took them for some action.no nets just had the dog.first warren young big hob bolted one within 10secs,dog missed it.was on to another one but it wouldn't bolt so moved on.older hob in and it was great just watching the dog trying to anticipate which hole it was coming out.tried to come out one hole and the dog went for it,missed and back down it went, minute later and it was out at the edge of the field and the dog snapped it up.heading home chuffed and the ferrets are fed for the wknd. Have to say been enjoying my ferreting a lot more since I got a dog.doubt I'll ever be without one now.cheers 6 Quote Link to post

krawnden 1,036
You're right - ferreting's way more enjoyable with a dog. Adds a whole new dimension. 3 Quote Link to post
